WHATS IN THE BOX?

My first month with Lip Factory was a big success!  Lip Factory comes at the end of the month and is $22 a month.  They do have a Lip box that comes out at certain times but the majority of their box is a mix of makeup items.

The box is really cute and compact:

And they wrapped the nail polish to protect it:

Jessie's Girl - (dark brown) I love that this eyeliner pencil has a sharpener in the lid!  How inventive!

Be a Bombshell  (eye shadow crayon in fetish) - this a really pretty purple:

Color Club  (nail polish in Earthy Angel) - I like this nude nail polish.

Be a Bombshell  (eyeshadow in tempted) - neutral brown color that I will use all of!

OFRA (lipstick in 109) Again, the perfect shade for me, this is a nude lipstick - so glad this box listens to the quiz they make you do when subscribing.

NYX butter gloss ( lip gloss in creme brule) another perfect shade that I love and will wear all of till it's empty:

 So my first Lip Factory box matched my tastes perfectly and I am happy I grabbed this subscription.  Next to Ipsy, it is my favorite.

I have very random photos on my phone - stuff I see that I think someone else would like, photos of makeup, old family photos for #throwbackthursday.  Don't judge.

This is a random photo I took from Pinterest - my sister is frightened of penguins - when all that penguin stuff came out - the documentary and Disney movies and all - she began to think they were going to take over the world - we have teased her about this ever since. 

This is a photo of my purchases at Urban Decay to take advantage of their great sample special;  I know, I need a 12 step program.

 This is my #throwbackthursday photo this week - taken in 2004.  Daddy reading to his little kids.  They were 6 and 3.  

 This is a photo I took of my Benefit makeup to enter a contest.  trying to win some more Benefit makeup - it is fairly expensive and I like to try sample sizes before committing to their full size prices.  I really have not found a product of theirs I do not like:

Why Maybelline is my fave drugstore brand!

My absolute favorite thing about Maybelline is the price!  Most of their prices are under $10 and the products are great quality.  

My favorite lipstick from Maybelline is their Color Whisper line - smooth, great color lipstick - huge fan!  

My fave primer right now is their Baby Skin.  I prefer it to high end ones like Smashbox:

I am using their Age Rewind Eraser to fight the dark circles under my eyes:

My favorite blush right now is their Dream Bouncy blush - I need to get this in every shade!  And because it won't break the bank, I can!

And last, but certainly not least, their mascara - award winning for years!!  Love Great Lash!

New Ulta Purchases!

ULTA BUYS THIS WEEK

Ulta is nice because they give you surprise samples with every purchase.  Here is the view of inside my box:

Ulta also has drugstore makeup brands - Maybelline is my favorite drugstore brand and I wanted to try this Maybelline Hi-Lighting Blush $9.99:

I also bought this Stila pack: Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm that was on sale for $12:

As I said, in every Ulta purchase you get free samples; I got some hair softening oils and shampoo and conditioner - LOVE!!!: 

And last, but not least, as it is the reason I was buying the Ulta products,  Urban Decay Travel-Size trio for $19.  It included the setting spray, eye shadow primer, and 24/7 eyeliner in Rockstar.

Dear JC Penney,  thank you for having a sale on Rico trunks.  He still didnt like the price but at least they were not $11 a piece.

Dear dogs, please let me sleep in Saturday morning;  I will give you treats!

Dear Sephora, I would have liked a few samples - spending money online gets me 3 - in the store, the lady this time gave me 0.

Dear Urban Decay, thank you for the 5 deluxe samples - now just hurry thru the mail to my house.

Wednesday Loves

The things I am loving this Wednesday:

 This lotion by Tree Hut - smells amazing - I loved it so much I got the shower gel and scrub!

I don't like hot coffee - but I am now addicted to these International Delight cold coffees! 

This foot cream is amazing - Bought it off Sephora on a whim and now cannot imagine not having it to smooth on my dry, cracked heels.  It is a wonderful product!

And last but not least, all things Paris!  It really is a beautiful city but Paris is special to me for lots of reasons.  I associate it with young love and spring!  New beginnings!

Hautelook Lip Beauty Bag

 When I saw this featured on Hautelook, I knew it was for me!  I am obsessed with stuff for the lips - my sister is the eye person and I am a lip person!  Perfect bag for me!

This cute little bag came carrying it all!  I will probably upgrade and put this in my purse as my new makeup bag - mostly lipsticks!

This is a very clever gadget from Swoon - A no more lost gloss wand!  It can be used inside lip glosses to get that last bit of gloss out - no wasted gloss!  Love this!

 Laura Geller lipstick in a swirly coffee color - perfect for me!

These Mirenesse Glossy Kiss and Lip Bomb are worth the price I paid for the whole bag!  They are fantastic!

And the bag would not have been complete without a lip gloss by Lorac!  Love this gloss color!

Also in the bag, you would expect to find a nice lip pencil and here it is:

And of course a lip liner pencil to line the lips - by NYX - a favorite brand of mine!

Finishing out the collection is a lipstick holder with mirror in a nice red color.

Super value for the $32 I spent on this with shipping and handling!

Sephora must haves this week!

My little Sephora order came in the mail finally!! Here's a shot of everything in my order with samples. I received the Make up for Ever primer and Hairdresser's Invisible oil and a face serum.  The fair oil made my hair feel so soft and smooth!  Have to purchase this full size!  The Righteous butter was a steal at $6.

I ordered the Smashbox Try It Kit for $19 - comes with primer, eyeshadow primer, mascara, eye pencil and lip gloss.  Great value!

 This cute little Urban Decay eye shadow sampler was a bonus item this time!
Love that it came with a sample of the eyeshadow primer.

Nice little order for $32 and change!

IPSY APRIL 2014

WHATS IN THE BOX?

IPSY was a fun month - with a lot of variety to the products.  Beauty rocks was the theme of this month's bag. Loved all my products this month and will use all of them.

Coastal Scents eye shadow brush - nice brush for my eye shadow.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil - nice eye pencil.  

Dr Brandt microdermabrasion creme - makes your skin feel so smooth!

Pop goes the shadow in Champagne- love this color of eyeshadow!  I use it all the time. 

Starlooks luscious longwear lip pencil - great lip pencil.  It's a pretty color and goes on smooth.
