WHAT'S IN THE BAG?

Pretty in Paradise

Ipsy is a monthly makeup bag that arrives around second week of the month for $10.  It is usually jammed packed with makeup!  This month it arrived as expected and had lots of goodies!

NYX BUTTER LIP GLOSS- (Apple Struedel) $5 I am a big fan of the butter glosses and this will be my 3rd.  It is also a different flavor than my other too and could not be happier with it.  These are also so inexpensive you can get the whole set pretty cheaply.

BE A BOMBSHELL MASCARA -   $15  I like the Be a Bombshell line but I cannot tell you how crazy this has been!  People all over Facebook and the internet talking about this mascara and how stinky it is.  I must say that I probably never would have smelled this if someone had not mentioned it.  It does have a strong odor.  But I also compared it to my other mascaras and Smashbox smelled almost as bad.  This smells like plastic to me.  Be a Bombshell said the reason it is smelly is because they chose not to put a fragrance in it so people with sensitive eyes could wear it.   And really, I can say that this is the first time I have every smelled Mascara, ever.

MARC ANTHONY DREAM WAVES BEACH SPRAY - $8.79 I love beach sprays - even though I have really thick hair!  I love the way your hair feels at the beach - it is one of my favorite memories of summers in Florida.  This smells really good and I will use it all up.

clariSEA SEA SALT SOLUTIONS RAPID DETOX CHARCOAL EXFOLIANT - full size $18 I have never heard of this brand before but I have tried charcoal exfoliants.  These are harsh so you only use about three times a week or less if you have sensitive skin like me.  Make sure to use a moisturizer after as well.  

JESSE'S GIRL WATERPROOF LIQUID EYELINER -  $6.99  I am not a fan of eyeliners as a whole but this is very nice and I like that it is waterproof as my eyes water in the summer due to allergies.  Jesse's Girl is a brand I have used before so I was pleased to get something else in their line.

PRETTY IN PARADISE GLAM BAG BY Rebecca Minkoff -  This was made exclusively for Ipsy so I could not determine a retail price.  This is probably my favorite bag to date for Ipsy! Love it - so pretty and reminds me of tropics and summer!

LOVE ULTA CASHBACK...

I could not resist getting this Benefit set when I found out I had $8 in ULTA cash to spend.  It retails for $36 so it was nice to get a discount.  Benefit is one of my favorite makeup brands and I have loved every item of theirs I have tried.  This set included 7 things I have never tried.

BENEFIT BEAUTY SCORE - This set includes Benetint, High Beam, Stay Don't Stray, Ooh La Lift, Pore Professional, That Gal, It's Potent, Hoola, Bella Bamba, and They're Real.  

This coin purse was the free gift with purchase of any $35 Benefit item or items.  I expected the coin purse to be much smaller and was pleasantly surprised by the size of this.  It also has a mirror and a little pocket inside.

MY DAY OUT!

I had gotten an e-mail yesterday about the giveaway at Sephora so I knew I needed to do a shopping trip! The deal was free Benefit bag with any purchase and they would have the Pore Professional to be used if you had 100 Beauty Insider points.  Thankfully, they had two left because I had been saving my points for awhile to get something I really needed.

For my purchase, I bought the Sun Safety Kit for $27 with 11 products, the Glamglow youth mud exfoliant treatment, Sephora pore cleaner, and the Two Faced Sexy Lips & Lashes.  

This Sun Safety kit is sold out online so I was very pleased to find it in the store.
Here is one side of the Sun Safety Kit with Too Faced Bronzing Powder, Tarte self tanner, Murad Day Moisturizer, Stila bronzing balm, Peter Thomas Roth Defense Lotion.

The other side:  St Tropez Bronzing Mousse, Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, Supergoop sunscreen oil, Algenist moisturizer, Ole Henriksen Sunscreen, and Shiseida sun protection cream. 

I ran over to Target and did some shopping for my Filofax - stickers, markers, Washi Tape and a pen. Infixinity markers were recommended by another Blogger and I cannot wait to use them in my Filofax.  I love Hello Kitty stickers and these owls are the cutest ever.

Bath and Body Works had $3 sale on their Hawaii soaps and these are my favorite for the summer.  Smell so Good!  I got Island White Pineapple, Honolulu Sun and Aloha Orchid.  I also picked up a little gift for my photographer who did our family photos last weekend.  

Ulta always has great bargains and gifts with purchase and I have been eyeing this Benefit mini package for awhile - Only Online Beauty Score -  it includes Pore Professional, That Gal, Hoola, Bella Bomba, It's Potent, They're Real mascara, Ooh La Lift, Stay Don't stray, Benetint, and High Beam  - 10 mini's all for $36.  I have only tried the Pore Professional, That Gal, Benetint, and High Beam; so very excited to try the other 6 products.

 And with any $35 Benefit purchase is this cute Benefit coin purse - which is actually a very nice size - super excited to use this in my purse!

And of course a trip to town would not be complete without a cake pop and a Starbucks Frappachino! 

LIP MONTHLY MAY 2014

WHATS IN THE BOX?

This is the first box for Lip Monthly! They are a brand new subscription box for $10 a month.

GLAM NATURAL CREAM BLUSH -  This is a small blush sample by the same brand that has a lip gloss in the box as well. 

STILA GLAZE LIP LINER - (fuschia) I love Stila brand anything - not sure if I am crazy about the color of the liner but it can be blotted and toned down.

ULTRAFLESH PANTHERA MASCARA - (JET BLACK)  This is a very convenient sized mascara - can throw it right in my purses makeup bag.

HARD CANDY LIP TATTOO  - (FANTASY) I have seen this brand everywhere but never tried one of their lip glosses.  I like the shade though.

GLAM NATURAL POCO LOCO LIP GLOSS - this is the same brand as the cream blush - love the shade and will use this too.  It is a nice coral color.

This is a very nice box for the value - several full size products and variety makes this box well worth the $10 a month.

Why Maybelline is my fave drugstore brand!

My absolute favorite thing about Maybelline is the price!  Most of their prices are under $10 and the products are great quality.  

My favorite lipstick from Maybelline is their Color Whisper line - smooth, great color lipstick - huge fan!  

My fave primer right now is their Baby Skin.  I prefer it to high end ones like Smashbox:

I am using their Age Rewind Eraser to fight the dark circles under my eyes:

My favorite blush right now is their Dream Bouncy blush - I need to get this in every shade!  And because it won't break the bank, I can!

And last, but certainly not least, their mascara - award winning for years!!  Love Great Lash!
