Monday Musings...a day late...

Another Tuesday is upon us and I missed Monday Musings with Family in town so here goes!

I could not resist these yellow and gray chevron sheets at JC Penney yesterday even though my bedroom is more of a gray blue.  I did not buy a chevron comforter to match so I think I am okay putting these on under my comforter that matches the room.

And no trip to JC Penney is complete without a stop inside the Sephora store!  I could spend hours inside here exploring all the makeup and fragrances.

I picked up the Urban Decay de-slick makeup setting spray since I was almost out of my setting spray.  I love this brand!  And if you do not use a setting spray, I really recommend it!  I do see a big difference between when I use one and when I do not.

I also grabbed the Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Potion Anti-Aging since I am almost out of my previous sample size of the same thing.  This primer does work and my eye shadow lasts all day.

Sephora also gave me a free lip gloss and I had enough points for some Nars sunscreen primer.  Not bad for under $30 at Sephora!

I also got a sample of Tresor In Love - which I love and is on my want list for perfumes right now.  This perfume reminds me of Paris and the visit I made there when I was a teenager.  I visited with a boyfriend and it was so romantic to be in love in the city for lovers.

And this cute set is now on my wishlist for Christmas - really want it!  Bloomingdale's is sold out right now but will be looking for what sets they put together for this holiday season.

Friday Follow up!

BIRCHBOX - I cannot say enough good things about this company.  They have excellent customer service.  If something is wrong with shipping or items in the box, they do everything they can to make it right.  I recently had an issue with a BB sub for my brother and BB went above and beyond to make me happy.  They gave me points and a free box!  You earn free points for your monthly box, for reviewing, and for having new people sign up with your link.  Those points can be turned into cash to use in their store.  I am in love with their store too - always find goodies in there to try!  If you want to sub this one click here.

Cake Boss Folders - I found these cute folders at Dollar Tree - yes Dollar Tree -0 for yes, $1.  Love them! Super cute!  I was amazed at all the goodies at that store.  I found some cute spritzer and water bottles for my Posh business.

Glass Sculptures - This was part of the amazing ceiling at the Indianapolis Children's Museum.  They have a rotating seat that you can lay back and watch the ceiling.  AMAZING!  So Beautiful - I want a pic of this blown up for my wall!

Ghirardelli Squares in Dark & Raspberry - These are my new favorite chocolates!  Love them and the fact that they have cute pink inside!

Monday Musings...

I finally found the Elf Ariel makeup products I have been looking for at my local Walgreens.

UNDER THE SEA EYES - ($4.99) This set contains a waterproof eyeliner and two eye shadow sets.  The are blue and a light tan and then mauve and a darker tan.

GO ON AND KISS THE GIRL - The lip kit included a lip stain pencil with two super glossy shines in light pink and dark pink.

FASHION BOX BY VEGAN CUTS - (39.99) plus use the code shopvegansave10 for 1o% off - shipping is $9.95.   There are six items in this special edition fashion box.   It includes:
  1. Deux Lux Wallet
  2. Djuna Shay Headband
  3. LVX Nail Lacquer
  4. Michelle Starbuck Designs Earrings
  5. 2 x Pura Vida Bracelets
  6. Coupons from V Apparel, Miakoda, Herbivore and Coral 8

BIRCHBOX ANNOUNCEMENTS -   So there are three bonus items available for July:
the Beauty Protector Dry Shampoo $18, headphones $13, or the Triple C Power Card charger $28.

Birchbox is also letting us pick one of the items in our box next month - a nail polish from the Ruffian nail polish set that came in the Mermaid box or a Cynthia Rowley lip gloss in one of two shades: Valentine or Sugar.  The lip glosses will be the small size I believe.

Sephora store has a new skincare kit that is customizable.  You can pick 5 items from a variety of 12.  I think I have my list narrowed to the below.  The price is $29.

1.  Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel
2.  Philosophy's Hope In a Jar
3.  Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity
4.  Dr Jart's Premium Beauty Balm
5.  Peter Thoms Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

Monday Musings....

My Mermaid Birchbox still had not arrived so I e-mailed Birchbox to find out what was the hold up - turns out they were having some mailing issues with their distributors so for my trouble they are giving me 100 BB points which is $10 off in their store.  That brings the cost of this box down to $24 - I got a mystery box and a free bracelet coming in this box and already saved $10 with other BB points.  Thanks, Birchbox!

My Mystery Citrus Lane should be getting here any day but from the previews I have seen, I should have passed on this box.  It fits more of a young baby than the 3 year old boy I bought it for.  I will probably be saving it for a baby Christmas gift.

Julep had a Flash Sale last week and I picked up a few items.  I did not really need any nail polish but I could not resist Sheryl for $2.  I also picked up a few cute magnets and a bracelet for  a friend.   I spent maybe $12.

I really want to order the Barkbox - if only they would come out with a good discount to buy this box!  I did find a new toy for Butch by seeing their unboxings - these bones are super cute and can be thrown in the wash.  $8 at the Harry Barker site.

I finally got an e-mail from Influenster saying I am getting one of their sample SurfVoxBox's! I will review it once it gets here and I also got some freebies from Pinch Me which I will be reviewing soon.  Both sample companies are free to join and send you free samples in the mail if you are selected.

And finally, I am excited to try some Perfectly Posh products.  I ordered a few things to try this week and got the buy 5 get one free deal.  Here is a sample of what they sell.  I am trying the Gender Bender, Hippie Scrubber, Polka-Dot Peppermint, After Sun Body and Shimmer Lotion, and lip balms.

Wednesday LOVES...

The things I am loving this Wednesday:

I am loving these Wrist Candy Style Packs by PuraVida Bracelets.  They are very cute and there are tons to choose from in a style that everyone will like.

Sisters of Los Angeles glasses that were in the Pop Sugar Must Have box! Super cute!

I really want to build a kit on Benefit Cosmetics website.  It looks so fun and you get a good deal on the products.

My faves in this photo are #5 the Dream blush by Maybelline, #7 EOS lip balm, and #9 the Yes to Cucumber towelettes.  I want to try #4 Wet n Wild lip balm and #12 Garnier Moisture Rescue.

Glossybox May 2104

BERGDORF
GOODMAN
BOX

This months Glossybox was sponsored by the Bergdorf Goodman store or Bergorf's, as it is usually called.  This was a special month box as it also promised 6 beauty items and a gift certificate for $25 to use in the store or online.

As promised, the $25 gift card was right on top of the box when I opened it!  My sister and I are putting ours together to get a better item online.

Lancer Eye Contour and Lifting Cream - this eye cream is $95 for a full size bottle.  Very happy to get to try this out in my $15 gift box from my sister.

Atelier Cologne in Rose Anonyme is $80 an ounce and is something I would never choose to buy but getting it here to try out at this price is excellent.

Revive Intensite Volumizing Eye Serum is $350 for 15 ml - our sample was 3 ml - making this worth $70.  This is something I would love to buy but at the price could never afford it.  Thank you, Glossybox!

Chantecaille Mini Luminous Gloss  in the full size bottle is $34 and I would purchase this at this price because I love lip glosses.  I am not sure what shade is but it is a little too pink for me.

Alterna Caviar CC cream is a Leave-in hair perfector and the full size tube is $25 so it also is something I might get again if I like what it does to my hair.

And lastly, Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-foundation Skin Primer , which is $45 for a full size tub.  I would not pay that much for a skin primer so I will just have to make this sample last.

So, very pleased with the Bergdorf Goodman GlossyBox!  The store is still selling them for $40 so, if you would like one go here

Shopping Saturday!

MY DAY OUT!

I had gotten an e-mail yesterday about the giveaway at Sephora so I knew I needed to do a shopping trip! The deal was free Benefit bag with any purchase and they would have the Pore Professional to be used if you had 100 Beauty Insider points.  Thankfully, they had two left because I had been saving my points for awhile to get something I really needed.

For my purchase, I bought the Sun Safety Kit for $27 with 11 products, the Glamglow youth mud exfoliant treatment, Sephora pore cleaner, and the Two Faced Sexy Lips & Lashes.

This Sun Safety kit is sold out online so I was very pleased to find it in the store.
Here is one side of the Sun Safety Kit with Too Faced Bronzing Powder, Tarte self tanner, Murad Day Moisturizer, Stila bronzing balm, Peter Thomas Roth Defense Lotion.

The other side:  St Tropez Bronzing Mousse, Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, Supergoop sunscreen oil, Algenist moisturizer, Ole Henriksen Sunscreen, and Shiseida sun protection cream.

I ran over to Target and did some shopping for my Filofax - stickers, markers, Washi Tape and a pen. Infixinity markers were recommended by another Blogger and I cannot wait to use them in my Filofax.  I love Hello Kitty stickers and these owls are the cutest ever.

Bath and Body Works had $3 sale on their Hawaii soaps and these are my favorite for the summer.  Smell so Good!  I got Island White Pineapple, Honolulu Sun and Aloha Orchid.  I also picked up a little gift for my photographer who did our family photos last weekend.

Ulta always has great bargains and gifts with purchase and I have been eyeing this Benefit mini package for awhile - Only Online Beauty Score -  it includes Pore Professional, That Gal, Hoola, Bella Bomba, It's Potent, They're Real mascara, Ooh La Lift, Stay Don't stray, Benetint, and High Beam  - 10 mini's all for $36.  I have only tried the Pore Professional, That Gal, Benetint, and High Beam; so very excited to try the other 6 products.
And with any $35 Benefit purchase is this cute Benefit coin purse - which is actually a very nice size - super excited to use this in my purse!
And of course a trip to town would not be complete without a cake pop and a Starbucks Frappachino!
