Influenster is a website that sends you free samples after you fill out surveys and connect with your social sites.   Everyone does not get every box, which they call Voxboxes.  I was happy to get the Surfs Up Vox Box.  I received these products complimentary for testing purposes:

The first glance: 

I received the following: Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration (which is an after sun care item); Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Shampoo and Conditioner; Sinful Colors nail polish in Anchors Away; and First Aid Shot Therapy. 

The Hawaiian Tropic after sun care smells amazing and it will be used since we are very pale in my household.  I love the Beach Babe shampoo and conditioner too.  I am looking forward to painting my toenails - a fun summer color!

I finally found the Elf Ariel makeup products I have been looking for at my local Walgreens.  

UNDER THE SEA EYES - ($4.99) This set contains a waterproof eyeliner and two eye shadow sets.  The are blue and a light tan and then mauve and a darker tan.  

GO ON AND KISS THE GIRL - The lip kit included a lip stain pencil with two super glossy shines in light pink and dark pink.

Birchbox Limited Edition Mermaid Box

My Mermaid box came in the mail today!  This is my favorite Birchbox Limited Box to date!  I saved money on it with my points and added a Mystery box with two items to it.  There was a problem with my shipping so I also earned another 1oo points which is $10 in their store.  But this also caused my bracelet not to be shipped either so they are working with me on getting a replacement item.  Great customer service!  UPDATE:  Customer service is beyond amazing - I am getting the Skull Candy earbuds that you were supposed to spend $60 to get.  I love Birchbox!

The first look:

Vasanti Kajal Extreme Intense Eye Pencil in Electric Navy - Love that this has a sharpener in the cap of it.  I have blue eyes so this should really play them up.

Stephanie Johnson Mermaid Mirror - One of my favorite items in this box - so cute and I love the shimmery colors. 

 RUFFIAN Endless Summer Collection – Nail Polish Trio - I love this little set and this is really what made me buy this set when I saw that these were for sale in the shop for 

COOLA Liplux SPF 30 Original Formula - This is another favorite item of mine - love Coola products and just received the tinted sunscreen in my June BB! It is a very nice lip balm with sunscreen.

Captain Blankenship Mermaid Mane Sea Salt Spray - I am in love with sea salt sprays and this is the second one I have received this month in sub boxes.  

Atelier Cologne Cédrat Enivrant Cologne Absolue  - I have sampled a few of these colognes and this is my favorite!  It is a very nice size for a sample.  

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Genius Waterproof Topcoat - This goes on after your mascara to make them waterproof.  It is genius!

A great value for $44 since the items totaled $110.54.  I ended up with a price of $24 using my Birchbox points.  

I added on a Mystery Box since I was spending $35.  Thankfully, this is added before your points are taken off.  I received the perfume L'eau de Opale and Skin Transformer Face Spotlight which is a tinted sunscreen.  

Monday Musings....

My Mermaid Birchbox still had not arrived so I e-mailed Birchbox to find out what was the hold up - turns out they were having some mailing issues with their distributors so for my trouble they are giving me 100 BB points which is $10 off in their store.  That brings the cost of this box down to $24 - I got a mystery box and a free bracelet coming in this box and already saved $10 with other BB points.  Thanks, Birchbox!

My Mystery Citrus Lane should be getting here any day but from the previews I have seen, I should have passed on this box.  It fits more of a young baby than the 3 year old boy I bought it for.  I will probably be saving it for a baby Christmas gift. 

Julep had a Flash Sale last week and I picked up a few items.  I did not really need any nail polish but I could not resist Sheryl for $2.  I also picked up a few cute magnets and a bracelet for  a friend.   I spent maybe $12. 

I really want to order the Barkbox - if only they would come out with a good discount to buy this box!  I did find a new toy for Butch by seeing their unboxings - these bones are super cute and can be thrown in the wash.  $8 at the Harry Barker site. 

I finally got an e-mail from Influenster saying I am getting one of their sample SurfVoxBox's! I will review it once it gets here and I also got some freebies from Pinch Me which I will be reviewing soon.  Both sample companies are free to join and send you free samples in the mail if you are selected.

And finally, I am excited to try some Perfectly Posh products.  I ordered a few things to try this week and got the buy 5 get one free deal.  Here is a sample of what they sell.  I am trying the Gender Bender, Hippie Scrubber, Polka-Dot Peppermint, After Sun Body and Shimmer Lotion, and lip balms.

I am loving these Wrist Candy Style Packs by PuraVida Bracelets.  They are very cute and there are tons to choose from in a style that everyone will like.  

Sisters of Los Angeles glasses that were in the Pop Sugar Must Have box! Super cute!  

I really want to build a kit on Benefit Cosmetics website.  It looks so fun and you get a good deal on the products.

Bergdorf Goodman Coupon...

WHAT DID I ORDER?

In Glossybox's May box, there was a coupon for $25 off at Bergdorf Goodman's store. 

The makeup came in this cute little purple bag that I can use in my purse to hold makeup or lotions.  

Clinique A Different Nail Enamel in Hot Date - this is a very pretty purple.  And I like the tiny bottle size since I rarely use up all the large bottles before I have to throw them out.

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in Grandest Grape - The Chubby Sticks are one of my favorite Clinique products.  I really like this shade and it is not too bold when blotted.

Eye and Lip Pencil Sharpener -  I had just enough left over to get this little sharpener because I can always use a sharpener.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

Citrus Lane occasionally does Mystery Boxes and these are a great value so I recommend you snag these if you see them go on sale.  They are always under the shop tag in the website when they are for sale and are usually $39.   Last month I chose the Mom Treat Mystery Bag that revealed that it had a Stella & Dot bracelet.  

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream - I love hand creams and little tubes like this are my favorite - can just pop them in your purse of send in kids backpack.  LIKE

Baggu bag  in fox - I have really wanted one of these bags since I saw them on other bloggers sites.  Easy to stick in your purse and use at the store.  I love that it has foxes on it too.  LOVE

Deep Steep Moisture Stick in Lavender - I have never heard of this product but someone said it is good on knees and elbows.  I will definitely be trying this.  LIKE 

JULEP nail polish in Gabrielle - This is like a deep purple so I will be saving it for winter.  I do not have this shade and do not really collect nail polishes.  But Julep is a good brand and I like that you can add the shade to the top of the bottle.

STELLA & DOT BRACELET - This is a very cute bracelet and has a value of $39 - I do not think you can buy it anymore so that makes it more collectible and it is my favorite thing in the box since it is the reason I bought this one! LOVE

I was very pleased with my Mystery Box and glad I jumped on this one.  I loved that they offered a Mom Treat box.  

WANTABLE BOX: MAKEUP

WHAT'S IN THE MAKEUP BOX?

 One Sunday evening, I happened to be online and someone posted that there was an awesome sale going on over on Wantable, the subscription box site that has 3 different customable boxes.  So many people were on the site that we crashed it but if you e-mailed them, they honored that deal.  The deal is now over of course and my boxes came in the mail TODAY!

I took a quiz that basically asked about my likes and dislikes when it came to makeup - my preferences are listed below.  These can be changed after each box to mix up what you get in your next box!  I love that!  One month I might decide I am sick of blush and want some Lash product - easy to do! I had four items in my dislike pile: brows, eyeliner, Lash Product and Bronzer.  

 Cailyn Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Apple - a version of this actually came in an Ipsy bag last month but I did not get it.  I do like this but people who have reviewed it said it was a bit drying so I will be sure to wear it with another lip balm.  Most of what I have on my lips is a layering of lip sticks and glosses so this is fine for me! LOVE!

ncLA Nail Lacquer in Not So Sweet -  I love this shade of pink- it's like a cotton candy and since I am a redhead it is one of the best shades for me! I am not lover of nail polishes so the next time I get a Wantable makeup box I will move this to the dislike section. LIKE!

 Vincent Longe Trio Eyeshadow Harem - This is my favorite item in the box - all the three colors are perfect for what I like to wear and its really cute packaging. It is made easy to apply to by having the one two and three on it! LOVE!

La Bella Donna Moonlight Cream-to-Blush Moonlight - I am a fan of blush but prefer the creams and solids rather than loose powders so this again was perfect and the shade is perfect for my fair skin. LOVE!

Wantable has their quiz down to a science and it picked exactly what I told it I liked and shades that I like as well.  This whole box was a plus for me with nothing going to the donate pile - a $1 well spent.  There are many great things about Wantable but I love that they let you skip months when you are not quite ready for another box and they are probably the only sub box that I have seen that is 100% returnable - if you are not happy, you can print off a return label and get your money back!  Really, there is no reason not to join this one!   Their customer service is excellent as well!
